Into the Woods: Deloss Webber’s Weavings

8 June, 2012

in Into the Woods

///Hello! If you’re new, Into the Woods is a weekly post on Fridays reminding us to get off the screens for the weekend and get out into nature. Enjoy!///

I love these so much. They strike somewhere very deep in me.  These weavings by Delross Webber seem to be a perfect week-ender after dipping our toes into the world of weaving these past few days.

And a perfect reminder to get out into the woods!  See you Monday, my friend!

Yes, I agree. These are rather special.

They make me feel the same “Oooohhh” that I felt the first time I saw Margaret Oomen of Resurrection Fern’s crochet covered stones. So lovely.

Love these, and these are just the inspiration I need as we get ready to forage the beach for treasures! Is that leather or caning that is woven? Very unique and lovely!

I think it’s reeds, caning. Maybe one is leather.

Immediately dropped this link into my “Outstanding Art” folder. I am amazed at the careful and precise workmanship and his sense of design and composition.

Thank you so much for sharing.

You’re welcome! I see a lot of amazing stuff on the web in a week, but I knew as soon as I saw this one that it was extra special. :)
