On the second day we went to North Bar Lake. It’s a gorgeous little spot where a smaller interior lake is connected by a small stream to Lake Michigan.
My cousins brought kayaks this year and now my family is wholeheartedly into kayaking. I took Luke out for his first kayaking trip out on Lake Michigan.
Looking across Lake Michigan…
…looking back at North Bar Beach. Have you ever seen so many gorgeous blues and greens?!
We took a couple nice long walks down the beach looking for skipping stones again and the coveted petosky stone.
And look! Luke found one!! He is the only one in our family to have found a petosky stone and this is his second time doing so! The kid definitely has an eye for detail and is my little collector.
Brodie took to kayaking like a duck to water and kayaked for hours. I love watching my boys discover a new interest and learn a new skill!
And I enjoy how Jordan, even as he’s the youngest often following along, feels free to do his own thing when he wants to do so.
I feel incredibly grateful and blessed that we can provide our children days in the sun and water where their only task for the day is to find the best skipping stone in the lake.
Thanks for taking another peek at our camping adventures. What bit of nature can you find for yourself and enjoy this weekend?

Wow! Nothing compares to the crystal clear waters that you shared in the photos. It is indeed a very great place with lots of stuff to do. My family usually went to a camping site in the woods and it is really cool. I guess we will go for a beach camping this year for a change. Cool!
