Hearts

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! I just love this heart tassel by Elizabeth Cat! She does some gorgeous crochet.

I’ve had crochet on the brain a lot recently, as I’ve been laid up on my back. Apparently 3 days of heavy shoveling can really take one out. Ugh. It has not been fun, but as soon as I could sit up more, I thought, “Well, at least I can crochet.”

I finally tried Tunisian Crochet and am having fun with it. It’s quite easy – I’m not sure why I never took the time to try my hand at it before? Late today I’ll show you some of what I tried. I have quite a few crochet posts this week in the way that I had a lot of art journaling last week. I hope you enjoy the variety.

I have some more cohesive series I want to do, but they’ll have to wait another week or so, as I’ve got to catch up from all this bed rest. If it was going to happen, I guess a snowy, gray February when you’re spending a lot of time reading and watching movies anyway is the best time to be laid up.

I hope you all are in cheery health! Let me know what you’ve been up to, won’t you? Or send me some fun links to look at while I’m doing a lot of nothing? :)

Boy is that cute, cozy and a whole lot of cheery! I love the colors she chose- Valentine’s always need to stretch a bit beyond just pink and red! Good luck with your crochet, Elizabeth!

Thanks, Erin! And yes, I agree with the go past red and pink sentiment!

I think you mean Elizabeth Cat, the crochet who was featured in this post, not me.

I have never really followed blogs. Then I found one by Lucy at Attic24. Then I found your blog. I have been reading about Elizabeth Cat and her wonderful creations. I can’t seem to get to her blog because I’m not invited. Could you tell me how to get invited to follow her please?

I’m sorry that I can’t. I don’t know her personally, just admired her work. All the best!
